With an enthusiastic audience, a unique location and countless international and local guests, the anim’est International Animation Film Festival has become Bucharest’s most loved film festival and a recognized event on the international animation scene. The presentations, workshops, master-classes and round tables provide the perfect opportunity to get in touch with the latest creations and make contacts. Among the great names who have visited anim’est, we proudly mention Bill Plympton, Georges Schwitzgebel, Juan Pablo Zaramella, John Dilworth, Mike Reiss… and our partner festivals, animation schools and guest studios.

Since the 2009 edition, one new competition section has been added and the value of prizes has followed the growing quality of the films submitted for selection, as well as the growing enthusiasm of our numerous audience.

You are kindly invited to submit films produced after January 1^st 2008 to one of the anim’est competition categories.

Please note the following entry deadline:

June 1^st 2010 for the six categories in competition: short film, feature film, student film, music video/advertising, Romanian competition, Balkanimation.
