Portrait / Portret: Luminiţa Cazacu
Graphic artist, animation film director, stage designer, script writer.
Is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts (1967) and of the ‘Nicolae Grigorescu’ Arts Institute (1982). Between 1967 and 1982, she worked as a director, script writer and stage designer for Animafilm Studio in Bucharest, then she continued her career with Dacodac Millimages Studio, she was the artistic director of ‘Caroline et ses amis’, a feature film French-Romanian co-production, as well as of twenty comic books edited in France. In 1998, she was a jury member of the Annecy international animation film festival. Her movies were awarded a lot of prizes in Romania and abroad (Venice, Tomar Portugal) and were screened in retrospective programmes in France and Romania.
