Virtual Cinema FAQ
1. What films can I watch on the online platform?
The options are listed directly on the platform.
2. How do I buy a pass?
Access the Virtual Cinema platform. Log into your account. If you don’t have an account yet, put in your email address and you’ll receive an automatic email containing a confirmation code. Put in the code on the next screen in the account creation process, then select your password. Once you’re logged into your account, click BUY PASSES, select Online Festival Pass and then click on Watch. Put in your card details, click Pay Now, and you’re done!
The pass allows you to access all the screenings in our Virtual Cinema schedule and is active throughout the festival, so you can watch all of the titles you’re interested in.
3. How do I buy a single-use ticket?
Directly on the Virtual Cinema platform. Log into your account. If you don’t have an account yet, put in your email address and you’ll receive an automatic email containing a confirmation code. Put in the code on the next screen in the account creation process, then select your password.
Once you’ve identified the screening you want to see, click Watch, select Single, and click Continue. Put in your card details, click Pay Now, and you’re done!
4. How do I activate my Online Pass?
Directly on the Virtual Cinema platform.
Log into your account. If you don’t have an account yet, put in your email address and you’ll receive an automatic email containing a confirmation code. Put in the code on the next screen in the account creation process, then select your password. Once you’re logged into your account, click BUY PASSES, select Online Festival Pass and then click Watch. Select I have a coupon code, put in the code on your accreditation, and click Redeem.
You may use your code only once. It will then remain connected to your account, so you can watch all the films you’re interested in.
5. Where in the world can I watch from?
The Virtual Cinema screenings on our platform may only be accessed from Romania, due to the films’ distribution rights.
Even if you buy a ticket, you will not be able to watch the films from outside the country.
6. How can I watch a screening?
After purchasing a ticket, access the Virtual Cinema platform. The films you bought tickets for will be listed under Screenings. Select one, click Watch, and enjoy!
7. When can I watch a screening?
All screenings become accessible at the scheduled date and time and remain online until the festival ends, on October 16, at 23:59.
These timeframes are in accordance with the rules we must follow and impose according to agreements with the film distributors.
8. How can I control the projection?
You can hit pause and play, in case you want to take a short snack break. You can also navigate forward and backward within a film.
9. The subtitles aren’t working properly, what should I do?
If a line is frozen on the screen after you paused the film, if the subtitles are out of sync or if they don’t appear on the screen at all, refresh the page. That should do it!
10. Can I watch screenings on multiple devices?
Yes, you can watch from any device you’re logged in on. But you can only watch on one device at a time.
If you’ve got an accreditation, your code will be active for one device only (see above).
11. What devices can I use the Virtual Cinema platform on?
Use any device with an updated modern browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge,or Safari). We cannot guarantee compatibility with older browser versions.
