Balkanimation Competition

From 4.30pm at Patria Cinema, you can find out what's new in the Balkans. The Balkanimation competition includes 14 films from Greece, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia and Romania. Among them are Abeyance (dir. Eleni Miltsi), an animation with heavy topics like existence and death, awarded at this year's national competition Animafest Athens, the largest festival of its kind in Greece, or Zasto slonovi? / Why Elephants? (dir. Marko Meštrović), a film about simple questions with complex answers, which premiered a few months ago at the International Animafest competition in Zagreb.
