Instituto Cervantes, 11-16 October 2022
Visiting hours:
Duting the week - between 10:30-16:30
Saturday - between 10:30-20:30
Sunday - between 18:00-20:00
We invite you to take a journey through a space of encounter between art and technology.
We start with the painting, the canvas, from the pictorial tradition of the 18th and 19th centuries that inspired the team of artists of the animated short film "It Dawns the Longest Night" (Spain, 2022). They have brought to life the paintings that you can view using your mobile device, thanks to augmented reality and also to NFT formats based on blockchain technology.
The film tells the story of meeting of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and their conversation about the current state of humanity. A moment in which important changes take place right before the eyes of the characters who analyse the world, and reflect on the lights and shadows of our nature.
The exhibition accompanies the international premiere of the short film ‘Amanece la noche más larga’ directed by Lorena Ares and Carlos F. De Vigo.
With the support of the Cervantes Institute in Bucharest.
