Inspired by the seventeenth character in Theophrastus' Characters — The Grumbling Man, the film explores the path that leads an average person to become a grumbler, and the cost of surrendering to fear. A visual metaphor for how our environment can influence — and ultimately consume — us if we let it, and how our anxieties can destroy the relationships we most cherish.
