Coma Concert at Animusic Night

One of the most beloved nights on the festival agenda, Animusic Night, will showcase the best and latest animated videos at Expirat – Carol Halls, the video screening will be accompanied by a Coma concert as they are one of the foremost alternative rock bands in our country.

This year, the animation and music night takes place on Thursday, October 5^th, and the videos featured in the competition include recently released ones by famous artists and bands such as Metallica, Katie Melua or Chelou, as well as local artists such as Smiley or Deliric, alongside Silent Strike and EM.

The jury of this section will be comprised of Răzvan Rădulescu (Hefe), Coma band member, DJ and producer of several radio and TV shows, including Domestika (at Guerrilla Radio) and Alternative Hour (on 1 Music Channel); Bogdan Şerban, one of the longest-lasting voices of Romanian radio, producer of two ultra-popular radio shows at Guerrilla Radio: Guerrilive and Guerrilla Logout, and Luiz Stockler, UK director, animator and illustrator, he is also one of the trainers for Animation Worksheep - the festival's education platform, as of 2016.

The screening of the videos selected for the competition will be followed by a Coma concert. The band came together in the early 2000s and it is made up of Cătălin Chelemen (main vocalist), Răzvan Albu (drums), Dan Costea (voice, guitar), Sorin Petrescu (bass guitar), Răzvan Rădulescu aka DJ Hefe (scratches, effects, keys) and Matei Tibacu-Blendea (guitar).

As a bonus, the audience joining this event will have the opportunity to watch the video for the song Montaigne Russe. The video will be created during the Animation Worksheep taking place this autumn. The song is a part of the latest Orkid album, called Horizon, which came out in 2016.
