Dragoş Iuga

Dragoş Iuga is a filmmaker who studied FILM Production at UNATC and Civil Engineering at UTC. In 2001 he went to University of California San Diego (full funding scholarship including a Teaching Assistant position) to do his MFA. Dragoş Iuga has directed and produced short films on 35mm being presented and awarded in festivals like Valladolid, Cork, Karlovy Vary, Munich, Dresden, Houston. He’s currently working on a film project named HOMO MANIPULATUS and awarded at ANNECY 2007 with Amiens Metropole-Jules Verne Prize.

Emilio De La Rosa

Emilio de la Rosa Paredes was born in 1957 and he studied Image at the University. He is the author or co-author of many books on Spanish animation films and the director of Muittu, a publication about animation, edited by ASIFA Euskadi. We writes articles for Cinevideo 20, as a correspondent of major animation film festivals like Annecy (France), Espinho (Portugal), Alcalá de Henares (Huelva, Spain). He selects films for festivals organised in Spain, among them for the famous Animadrid (de la Rosa has been part of the selection committee since 2000). In 1998 he started teaching the history of animation films, production and coordination of short-films at ESDIP, Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional (The Superior School of Professional Drawing).

Sébastien Laudenbach

Sébastien Laudenbach was born in 1973. He studied at ENSAD Paris and his graduation film “Journal” was screened and awarded at film festivals. He was a collaborator of feature films like “Du poil sous les roses” by Agnès Obadia şi Jean-Julien Chervier, “Laissons Lucie Faire” by Emmanuel Mouret, before making “Des câlins dans les cuisines” (2004), then “Morceau“ (2006). Since 2001, he has been working at an animated feature film called “ La Jeune Fille, le Diable et le Moulin”, inspired by Olivier Py’s writing. He teaches animation at ENSAD.

Radu Igazsag

Radu Vasile Igazsag was born in 1953. He is a Visual Artist, Animation Film Director, Video Artist, Photographer. He graduated from the Fine Arts Academy, Painting Department, in Cluj, Romania and got his MA in Film Direction at the Bucharest Film Academy. He is the Programme Manager of Fine Arts & Photography, Fundatia Arte Vizuale, Bucharest, a Lecturer with the Film and Theatre Academy, Multimedia Department, in Bucharest and with the Art Academy, Photo-Video Department, Bucharest. Since 1981, he has been a Film Director and Animator of the " Animafilm" Studio in Bucharest.

Mihai Bădică

Mihai Bădică was born in Constanţa. “I am educated as an actor, teacher in sports, puppeteer, animator, film director and set designer. In 1969 I started working as an animator, set designer and director in ANIMAFILM STUDIOS in Bucharest. I have made about 30 short animated films in different techniques, but I’ve got specialised very soon in puppets and clay animation. Quite a few of my films have been awarded nationally and internationally. In 1985 I moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. I started working as an animator on different film projects, as well as commercials. As a director, I made 3 films for the Danish television, since 1986. In 1990 I started “The Tinderbox”, film which vas shown in many festivals and awarded at Chicago Film Festival for children in 1993, at Nordic Panorama Festival, 1993, and Cairo Children Film Festival, 1994. In 1994 I got the Danish National Prize: “Hans Christian Andersen”. In 1993 - 96 I created the sets and animation the first Danish puppet film (85 min), “Holger Danske”. In 1999 I finished “Klods Hans”, a 21 min. puppet film, which I directed. Now I’m working on a long feature film for children, after the story of H. C. Andersen: “The little girl with matches”, a mixture of life action and different animations techniques. The development of the film was produced as research project at The Danish Design School. I’ve been teaching courses in animation since 1986, at The Danish Design School were I established an Animation Department, but also in Norway, Sweden, France and USA. During the years I participated in many set designer exhibitions. Some of my films are in the Museum of Modern Art, N.Y. I had “film retrospectives” in New York, Madrid, Copenhagen. I am a member of the “World Animation Association”, “Danish Animators Association”, “Danish Film Directors” and the international “Society for Animation Studies”.
