Going Amok

The making of the short film that won Annecy Crystal 2022 and the Heart of Sarajevo 2022

Amok (dir. Balázs Turai) a Hungarian-Romanian co-production, got off to a very strong start: at its world premiere at the world's biggest animation festival, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, it already won the Crystal Award for best short animation - an Oscar-qualifying recognition. The Heart of Sarajevo for best short film followed shortly after, at the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival.

Director, Writer and Animator Balázs Turai will share with the Animest audience his experience of creating Amok:  the inspiration, the creative process, and the struggles behind the award winning title.

Amok will screen as part of:

 "I'm a Slave for You / Toxic" programme
