Masterclass Mélody Boulissière: From flowers to war and back
Mélody Boulissière is a French film director who has an MA in animation from ENSAD (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs), Paris and from La Poudrière, Valence. Her first graduation film, "Somewhere", received over 50 selections including the Cinéfondation of the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. The film was inspired by her voyages and used the technique of paint-on-glass and collage.

Her second graduation film “The Scent of the Plumerias” was selected at Animest 2018. She returned this year with her last film “Patouille and the Parachute Seeds” in the Minimest competition. "Patouille and the Parachute Seeds" is the pilot for a TV series for preschool-age kids about flowers and plants, made with oil pastels and co-directed with Inès Bernard-Espina and Clémentine Campos.
At the moment she is also working on a new short movie in a collaboration with a Romanian director, Bogdan Stamatin, as art director and co-director. This movie is based on a love story happening during the Second World War in the north of Romania and, it will be in mixed media.
