
Revolutionary animations presented by Alex Budovsky
Sunday, October 10th, on the third Anim’est day, this edition’s special guest, American independent Alex Budovsky, is coming to Patria Cinema, at 8:30 p.m., for the New York Independent Animators presentation, to screen his revolutionary animated films, hit HBO production awarded at Sundance, Annecy and the British Television Awards. Budovsky will be presenting his best advertising spots, videos and short films and will be discussing the U.S. independent animation scene. One of the most active members of the well known community of New York independent animators, along with filmmakers acquainted with the Bucharest audience at the previous festival editions, like Juhn R. Dilworth or Bill Plympton, films directed by Budovsky and special guests from the festival’s previous years, are all included in the two must-see programmes for the animated film lovers, dedicated to the best short films produced by one of the most notorious groups of independent animators in the world: Avoid Eye Contact, programmed into two sets scheduled to start 6:30 p.m. and 10:30, at Patria Cinema.
