SHORT FILMS

lon Popescu Gopo (1923-1989) became famous by creating "Gopo's little man". He started in the press, publishing cartoons. He studied at the Academy of Arts in Bucharest and completed an animation course in Moscow. He made his film debut in 1949, together with his father and Matty Aslan, with the animated short "The Penny Bag". In 1957, he won the Palme d'Or at Cannes with the short film "Short History". Among his creations: "7 arte", "Alo, Hallo!", "If I were... Harap-Alb", "Maria- Mirabela".
