
The Apple and the Worm at Minimest
Same as on every other day, Minimest, the section dedicated to children, is opening the Patria Cinema screening on Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m., with a story for both the younger and the more mature viewers, The Apple and The Worm (Denmark- Sweden, 2009), the playful film of Danish director Anders Morgenthaler, portraying Torben, a pretty common apple, wanting to stay in perfect shape. His greatest ambition is to be the best looking and most delicious apple on a supermarket shelf. Unfortunately, something terrible happens to him – he gets a worm!
Anime fans will not be neglected on the sixth festival day: Wednesday, October 13th, from 10:30, Patria Cinema will be screening Genius Party Beyond (Japan, 2008). Anim’est is screening a new must see feature film in the Studio 4C Retrospective, presented by Animax, an omnibus-film with a highly special concept, directed by Mahiro Maeda, Kôji Morimoto, Kazuto Nakazawa, Shinya Ohara and Tatsuyuki Tanaka, five genius creators in various of visual art fields, animation, illustration, comic books, who benefitted of full freedom in making an original film with creativity as its main theme.
