Isabela Petrasincu comes to Anim'est

Isabela Petraşincu is the romanian animator rewarded this year with the Anim'est Lifetime Achievement Award. Eight short films directed by Isabela Petraşincu will be screened in the animator’s presence Wednesday, October 12, from 18:00 at the Union Cinema. Born in 1931 and having graduated from the Faculty of Architecture within the Ion Mincu Institute of Bucharest, Mrs. Petraşincu started her career in animation films as a production designer and draftsman at the Animafilm Studio, going on to film directing, that she practiced between 1970 and 1994, during which she directed dozens of cardboard cut animated and puppet films. She was awarded with the Golden Dolphin Grand award at the Tehran Film Festival for Parada cifrelor / The Number Parade (1979), and the Poveste cu gheme de lână /  The Story of a Ball of Woolen Thread (1987) was selected in the International Animation Film Festival Competition in Annecy.
