Romanian ReAnimation - Debate and DVD release

The Romanian animation film’s condition is brought to the fore for brainstorming, Thursday, October 13, 2011, 12:00 , at the Union Cinema. Guests such as Carmen Stejeroiu - economic director of the National Centre of Cinematography, Aurelian Nica - HBO Romania Original Production Manager, Dan Panaitescu - from DSG studio, Crulic – The Path to Beyond animators’ team leader, Răzvan Atanasescu - sales director for MediaPro Magic or Vlad Santo - Sales Coordinator at ODS studio. They  will review the past and present of the Romanian animation film, how to prepare the Romanian animators, animation studios situation, funding opportunities and existing distribution for Romanian animation films. The Romanian animators selected in 2011 Anim'est competition will partake in the debate.

Also, the official release of the ReAnimating Animation advertising DVD for the Romanian animation film takes place. It is edited by the Estenest Association and supported by the National Cultural Administration Fund - NCAF and ODS.

The DVD includes 14 award-winning animated short films signed by contemporary local animators and will be distributed to promote the romanian film at Cannes, Berlin and Clermont-Ferrand, in the abroad network of Romanian cultural institutes, to Anim'est partner festivals, but also by Romanian and foreign professionals interested in local animation film.
