Romanian Reanimation DVD release
Anim'est committed, since the first edition, to the revival and promotion of Romanian animated film. Workshops, master's supported by Romanian and foreign guests, debates, Romanian Film Competition, organized portraits for Romanian animators, Animation Worksheep animated film studio: are part of the festival’s strategy to back up local animated film. On the sixth edition, with the support of the National Cultural Fund Administration - NCFA and ODS, the Estenest Association releases the Romanian Reanimation DVD, containing 14 award-winning animated shorts, signed by contemporary local animators. Being the first of its kind published in Romania, the DVD helps promote Romanian animated film and will be distributed in the Romanian Film exhibit rooms at Cannes, Berlin or Clermont-Ferrand, to the Romanian cultural institutes network from abroad, at Anim'est 2011 partner festivals, but also to Romanian and foreign professionals interested in local animated film. It will officially be released during Romanian ReAnimation Debate scheduled Thursday, October 12th, from 12:00 at the Union Cinema, which will bring face to face animators, producers, journalists and local institutions responsible with animated film. The DVD titles include Matei, Matei / Matthew, Matthew (d. Cecilia Felmer, Romania - Hungary, 2010), winner of Best Romanian Film Award at 2010 Anim'est, Grand Cafe, for which Bogdan Mihailescu was nominated for Gopo Young Hope Award in 2011 and The Scream (d. Sebastian Cosor, 2011), MediaPro Magic production selected in the National Competition and 2011 Anim'est Balkanimation Section.
