Anim’est Chișinău- a new edition, a new success

The second edition of Anim'est Chișinău ended Sunday, November 4.

Despite the fact that this year, funding was lower than the previous edition, the organizers were able to prepare an event that was on every one’s line and billed another success.

Over 3,500 spectators attended the projections between 1-4 November at the Odeon Cinema. 140 films were screened during the Special Edition organized by the most important film festival in Bucharest and the Moldovan spectators enjoyed this year’s experience of Creepy Animation Night - Special night of bizarre, original, dark or horror short films.

This year's program was very tenderer to the audience in the Republic of Moldova. The festival’s second edition brought a series of animated films for all tastes, some of them apllied to very young moviegoers. Coraline, Ronal the Barbarian, Lorax, protector of the forest, or Howl’s Moving Castle are some of the titles that Chișinău moviegoers grasped at.

The special review dedicated to one of the Japanese and World animation leaders: Hayao Miyazaki registered success as well.

2012 Anim'est winning films, as well as those who have formed ​​the Romanian competition were also enjoyed by audiences in Chișinău.

If, for the first edition, the Anim’est festival broke out old Moldovan films from the archives, thus bringing them to the big screen, in the cinema, the second edition exposed exciting contemporary animation to the audience in the Republic of Moldova. Three native studios presented their recent work.
