Anim’est – founding member of the Eastern-European Animation Awards

The EEAA programme will be screened together with the Romanian 2010 medium legth film A day of Ionescu’s life, directed by Mihai Şurubaru.

Anim’est is a founding member of the Eastern European Animation Awards, a group of the most important animated film festivals in Eastern Europe (Animafest Zagreb – Croatia, Animateka Ljubljana – Slovenia, Anim'est Bucharest – Romania, Balkanima Belgrad – Serbia, Banja Luka International Animation Film Festival - Bosnia and Herzegovina and FestAnča Žilina). For this year’s edition, each of the six festivals suggested a short film produced in its country to be screened in the competition programmes. Anim’est proposition for the first edition of the awards – White noise by Marius Pandele, winner of the Special Mention for Best Romanian film at the 2009 Anim’est edition and one of the 2009 Gopo Award short film nominees – will be screened next to five other titles from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia, on Friday, October 8th 2010, starting 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 9th 2010, starting 12 a.m. at Union Cinema.
