Day 3 of Anim’est 2010
Sunday opened with the Minimest programme, in the same enthusiastic and playful way it did from the very first day of film screenings dedicated to children.
A photo gallery from the balloon party and face painting activity can be accessed here.
Erik Novak, producer of the Hungarian feature film, The District, presented the story of the film directed by Áron Gauder and also answered all of the questions coming from the curious Union Cinema audience who wanted to know more about ghetto children in gangs, brought up in constant rivalry between Roma families, Hungarian, Arab and Chinese. A picture gallery from the Q&A can be accessed here.
Next, at Patria Cinema, Alex Budovsky, the festival’s special guest spoke to the audience about the Avoid Eye Contact 1 and 2 screenings, and also about the situation of New York independent animation film. The photo gallery can be accessed here.
The evening ended in Club Control with an extraordinary concert from Coughy who surprised even the more skeptical ones with their particular style.
