Fresh Frames: meet our freshest festival section

Time to introduce the newest Animest section, Fresh Frames, to debut during the first weekend of the festival, on Saturday October 5, at 5 PM, at Cinema Elvire Popesco with a selection of 17 animations created by teens in Romania and the Republic of Moldova and selected by last year’s Animest Teen Jury.

Our freshest section emerged thanks to the Animation Incubator, the largest community for teens interested in digital art and a reflection of the upcoming generations of animators. Most of the short films in Fresh Frames came out of workshops facilitated by the Incubator throughout the year. 

The Animation Incubator, Animest’s project for teens, is a diverse and inclusive community, an animation school, studio and research lab, all created to cultivate and support young talent.
