
Geza M. Toth and József Fülöp present the Hungarian film
Oscar nominated Hungarian director and jury member for the Student Film and Romanian Film sections, Géza M. Tóth, is presenting his four award winning short films, including his most recent, during the masterclass scheduled for 12 a.m., at Union Cinema. Ergo (2008), Ikarosz (1996), Maestro (2005) and Mama (2009) are amongst the four most awarded European animated short films made in the past 15 years and will represent the subject of the interactive masterclass for those who wish to ask the director anything they need to know on the mysteries, fears, but also joys abundant in his films.
The dean of the animation section at the Moholy- Nagy Art and Design University – MOME in Budapest, József Fülöp, will hold an interactive presentation, Wednesday, October 14th 2010, from 2 p.m., also at Union Cinema, including a discussion about the best short films and animated videos made along the three decade history of the university’s animation section. Founded in 1880, MOME is one of the most prestigious art related higher learning institution in Central and Eastern Europe, their main fields being Architecture and Interior Design, Design ( jewellery, ceramics, various objects, fabrics and clothing) and Media Art ( animated film, photography, media design, graphics).
