The students of the Animation department of Middlesex University learn from multi-BAFTA winning academic team with tutors like Jonathan Hodgson and Chris Shepherd. All the staff are practicing animation directors, designers and theorists with extensive professional experience. Their graduates go on to work at some of the top animation studios including Aardman Animations, Lupus Films, Tiger Aspect Productions, Blue Zoo, Passion Pictures, Spa Studios (Klaus), IOD Productions (Isle of Dogs).

The selection of the short films is curated by Jonathan Hodgson, Associate Professor of Animation at Middlesex University, guest animator at Animest 2024.
