
Introducing Anifest
The ArCuB Hall hosts at 15:00, a selection of the best Czech short films, projected at Teplice Anifest previous editions, being the Guest of this year’s Anim’est International Animation Film Festival.
The AniFest International Animation Film Festival held in Teplice, Czech Republic, annually collects thousands of guests from around the world. Film selection is diversified and includes the latest headlines, with track record in international film festivals and retrospectives of valuable filmmakers. 13 of the most representative recent Czech short films are part of the 2011 Anim'est, among them being Bloody Merry Christmas (d. Jan Cechl), selected in the student film 2008 Anim'est Competition, Graffitiger (d. Libor Pixa), short film made with animated graffiti, projected in the Fresh Selection Program of the International Film Festival of Karlovy Vary, David Sukup’s The Light, co-director of the film Fimfárum – The Third Time Lucky, partaking in the 2011 Anim'est feature film competition, and The Pirate (d. Jan Bubeníček), a short animated puppet film about the power of friendship.
