Minimest - the animation comes out to play
Even the younger animation fans are invited to the Anim'est Festival, which offers, every year, the special section called Minimest. But for the first time, at the seventh edition, Minimest is a competitive section. The 17 short films, divided into three age groups will compete for the section’s trophy.
Be it lonely robots (Will-Bot - Friend or Foe?), the fantastical adventures that curiosity can take you on (Enco, Steam Crossings) or competition between two brothers for parental attention (Miriam`s Green Spots), the Minimest shorts bring on screen adorable characters and adventures for children. For the feature film program, Anim'est is bringing known titles such as Puss in Boots, and the premiere for a German film - the pacifist parable Animals United, a 3D reinterpretation of the same 1969 classic, signed by Holger Tappe.
Besides screenings, Studio Cinema welcomes young moviegoers with a series of interactive and educational activities. The decoupage workshop offered by SmartKidsLand (http://www.smartkidsland.com) is for all ages: with special materials, children will decorate an object as a character from a cartoon. The second workshop, the origami one, is supported by trainers from Origami courses with Antipa Museum’s help (http://cursuriorigami.blogspot.ro), where children will get familiar with the technique of folding paper which emerged in Japan several hundred years ago . Both workshop’s aim is to develop children’s attention to details through play.
Furthermore, all children participating in Minimest may win one of the 24 free places at the JuKaVa workshops for children, carefully designed for kids’ personal development (http://www.jukava.ro).
A ticket’s prize for a Minimest projection - feature film or short film set - is 5 RON and attending the workshops is free.
