Pitch, Please! Promote your animated short film project at Animest 2020!

The 15 th edition of Animest International Animation Film Festival (9-15 November 2020) invites directors and producers from Romania and Moldova to submit their animated short film projects to the second edition of Pitch, Please! Through this initiative, Animest continues to stimulate and promote creative minds in the domain, offering them a chance to present their idea in front of a professional jury, after having worked on the project under the guidance of two trainers.

The winning project will receive a double accreditation, for the director and the producer, for CEE Animation Forum 2021 – an international event bringing together some of the most appreciated artists in the industry of animated film. The winning team receives transportation, accommodation access to all the workshops and networking sessions of the Forum.

The deadline for submitting the projects is 25 October 30 October 2020. Any valid submission will include: a synopsis of the project, artwork and character design proposals (storyboard is optional), biography of the applicant(s) and the director’s show-reel or portfolio. Please send them in an e-mail to pitch [at] animest.ro.  There is no submission fee.

Before meeting the jury on 14 November, in an online or offline session, the selected projects will benefit from a four-day intensive preparation with two trainers who will help the director and producer improve the script, as well as the creative and technical approach of their future film.

All the selected participants will be offered free access to all the events and screenings of Animest 2020.

Pitch, Please! is organized by ANIMEST in partnership with CEE Animation (Central and Eastern Europe Animation), supported by SPPA –the Animation Film Producers’ Association of Poland.
