Polish short films – at Patria Cinema and ArCuB

Sunday, October 9, can be seen two short film programs in the Guest Country section (this year, starring Poland). For the first time in Romania, Anim'est suggests to film lovers (within this section) a comprehensive selection of the best animated short and feature films produced throughout the time in Poland.

At Cinema Patria will run, from 14:30, short films dedicated to Polish animated film classics before 1989, such as Ewa Bibańska’s Unfaithful Portrait, Piotr Dumała ‘s Gentle Spirit or Playthings, directed by Kazimierz Urbański. The newest Animest location, ArCuB hall, houses from 15:00, the most important Polish films made after the fall of the Iron Curtain, admist being Zoopraxiscope (d. Hieronim Neuman), Chick (d. Michał Socha) and Kizi Mizi (d. Mariusz Wilczyński).
