Closing Gala protagonist – Alexander Bălănescu

Half way through the eventful closing weekend of Anim’est 2010, both festival audience and guests will get to enjoy a unique moment: the renowned Romanian born violin player and composer Alexander Bălănescu will be the protagonist of the festival's Closing Gala, scheduled for Saturday October 16th 2010, from 8 p.m., on the Patria Cinema stage, next to the guest of the fifth Anim'est edition, British animator Phil Mulloy. After the Anim'est Trophies have been handed, Bălănescu will be performing a live orchestration for Phil Mulloy\s short film programme, but he will be also offering a solo recital to the viewers of the most important Romanian animated film festival.
