The eighth day at Anim'est reveals a Creepy night
Creepy Animation Night, one of the most anticipated events at Anim'est reached it fourth edition. Bizarre, unusual, dark or horror animations, 22 films grouped into three programs. Among them, an insane live act in an unique combination: Traum and Marius Roșu.
Traum is about to release its third disc. Simple songs with mean lyrics screamed by Mihai Andrei, tell soul stories from an abnormal universe. In a word, garagepunk. Marius Roșu (visual artist and creative director at G.A.V. Romania) says little but does more. The most creepy night of the year starts at 11pm at Patria Cinema.
There's no time to rest during the day. At the Studio Cinema, from 6pm, Rosto will greet animation fans. After last year’s attendance, when he competed with Monster of Nix, the Dutch animator and artist returns to Anim’est, this time in the flesh, as a special guest and jury member of the Short and Long Film Competition. Fans of the short film The Monster of Nix must not miss the author’s special projection and presentation this year.
Who has not reached the opening of Anim'est has the chance to see ParaNorman at 8pm at the Studio Cinema. Also, it’s the last chance to see the Czech feature film Alois Nebel (10pm).
The festival’s closing Gala will start Saturday night, at 7pm.
This year’s 10 Anim’est awards will find their masters and after that, the audience will witness a show by Sonja van Hamel. Draw Clips, clips filmed and projected during concerts, scenes and characters alongside music will certainly delight the viewers.
