
Zeno Bogdănescu Portrait – Romanian animation at its best
Zeno Bogdănescu, the Romanian animator to be handed the Lifetime Achievement Award, is presenting his best short films at Scala Cinema on Monday, October 11th, starting 5 pm. Graduate of the „Ion Mincu” Architecture Institute, Zeno Bogdănescu (born in 1955) is one of the most representative figures of the „’80s generation”. He debuted together with Radu Igazsag, Olimpiu Bandalac and Nagy Lajos, with the film Handwriting. His films benefit of different techniques, from the regular animated drawing technique (Încurcă lume) to animated graphic (The house), from pixilation (Steps), to sand animation (Phoenix). Since 1995, Zeno Bogdănescu has been establishing his name exclusively in the field of architecture. He is currently the dean of the Architecture Faculty at „Ion Mincu” University in Bucharest.
