Rosto - Guest Animator at Anim'est 2012
After being present with The Monster of Nix in last year's competition, the Dutch animator Rosto returns to Anim'est, this time as a member of the jury.
Rosto is a director, artist and founder of Rosto A.D. Studio. He is well known for his animated videos, television projects and independent short films. His first succes was Anglobilly Feverson who staret the beginnign of a winning strike and presences to international film festivals. His next film, Jona/Tomberry received Canal+ Grand Prize in Cannes in 2005. Another project of his was the Mind My Gap trilogy, a mixed media project combining animation and graphic novel. For his last short film, The Monster of Nix, Rosto worked along famous musicians and filmmakers such as The Residents, Terry Gilliam or Tom Waits. At the present time he is working on developing several short film concepts.
Animation fans are invited on Friday, October 12 at 18:00 at Studio Cinema to meet Rosto. They will have the opportunity to find out more on the animation technics used by Rosto in his short films and also watch several short films of his.
