Shane Acker is an award-winning director, animator and designer. “9” was his first feature length production and was based on his student Academy Award winning short. It was produced by Tim Burton and Timor Bekmambetov and was released by Focus Features in 2009. The 11-minute short “9” premiered at Sundance in 2005 and has garnered numerous awards including the “Best in Show” at the 2005 SIGGRAPH Electronic Theatre and was nominated for an Academy Award in 2006. Shane has a multidisciplinary background, studying architecture for several years before becoming a filmmaker. He is a graduate of UCLA where he received both a Masters Degree in Architecture and a MFA in Animation. Shane has recently formed Isopod, an animation production studio in Los Angeles with partners Greg Little, Jack Mitchell and Brown Bag Animation studios in Dublin. He is currently directing Isopod’s first production, Deep.
Anna Solanas has been working in the world of puppet animation for 10 years, shooting hand by hand with Marc Riba. They have made 6 short films which have been selected in more than 700 festivals around the world, winning 100 prizes.
Through their production company, I+G Stop Motion, based on Barcelona and created in 2005, they are currently developing a new TV series entitled, Triton, the Little Wizard, the pilot episode of which was aired in winter 2010. They are also developing a feature-length film, Errònia.
Born in 1986, Gerlando Infuso follows his studies at La Cambre in Brussels since 2005. His first short "Margot " made in his 3rd year won the Junior Prize at the international festival of animation Annecy 2008. In 2009, "Milovan Circus" won several prizes, like the audience award at Anima Brussels festival. In June 2009, the French singer RoBERT contacts him and ask him to direct her music video for "Ange et Démon", the soundtrack of the new perfume for Givenchy.
Cecilia Felméri, film director, graduated at Sapientia University in Cluj Napoca, master studies at I.L. Caragiale National Film University in Bucharest. Her short films, e.g. Infinite minutes (short fiction, 2011), Mathias, Mathias (animated documentary, 2010), Cuckoo (short fiction, 2008), etc. were in competition at Locarno IFF, Warsaw IFF, Mar del Plata IFF, DokLeipzig, Transilvania IFF, etc. She won more than 20 prizes with her shorts, e.g. Best Romanian Film at Animest, Best Hungarian Short Film at Cinefest, Most Promising Young Talent at Hungarian Filmweek, etc.
Art and film historian, critic, filmmaker. Editor‑in‑Chief of “Animafilm” magazine (1979-81). Senior Lecturer at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, USA (since 1988). Artistic Director of “Animator” International Animated Film Festival in Poznan, Poland (since 2007). He has made a number of documentary, experimental, and animated films, among them “I Am Providence: The Story of H.P. Lovecraft and His City” (1997), “Gus Van Sant” (1998, with Slawomir Grünberg), “The Island of Jan Lenica” (1998), “Travels of Daniel Szczechura” (2005), “106 Olney Street” (2007), “Sicilian Flea” (2008), “Panta Rhei” (2008), “Aquatura” (2010), “Alfred Schreyer from Drohobycz” (2010), “AE” (2011). His books include: “Disney Was Not the Only One” (2000), “Wenders Go Home!” (2006). He co-curated retrospectives of Polish animated films at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (2003) and Centre Pompidou in Paris (2004).
Montreal born artist, Steven Woloshen (BFA, MFA Studio Arts) has been passionately creating dozens of short abstract films and time-based-art installation pieces since 1982. He has been invited to show his work internationally, has lectured on the subject of handmade analogue film techniques and has been commissioned to create unique films for artist run centers, international film festivals and galleries. In 2010, he published his first book on the subject of decay, archiving and handmade filmmaking techniques, titled “Recipes for Reconstruction: The Cookbook for the Frugal Filmmaker.”
Lucian Stan, aka DJ Vasile, has been working as Radio DJ since 1990 and club DJ since 1993. The radio station he has worked for: Radio Romania, Radio Nova, ProFM and currently Radio Guerrilla where he signs Free Zone show, the only FM show which broadcasts Romanian electronic music and much more (since 1998). He collaborated with several Romanian bands, such as Şuie Paparude, and founded Natural Soft Killers and Shukar Collective.

Tobias is a Danish animator/director/artist who works in different media and techniques. His works are both narrative and abstract, with a love of craftsmanship, expression and visual storytelling. He received a BFA in character animation from The Animation Workshop in Denmark in 2010. He currently studies film directing in Copenhagen at Super 16, and works freelance in filmmaking and animation.
